Okay. I don’t rant much, but I just have to let this one out…
So, I’m checking facebook after getting this person into Doctor Who, and what do I find? This person is completely missing the, well, *point* of Doctor Who. The Doctor’s name is, in fact, THE DOCTOR, A.K.A. Healer and fixer of worlds. His intentions are always to save some one (or thing) from destruction of evil. If he were to succumb to the tantalizing temptation that power holds, he would become a vengeful god to be feared, as we saw in several episodes.
I know this person’s opinion is that he should fight, and I am guilty of feeling that sometimes as well, but if he would, there would be repercussions and consequences that we can’t even imagine.
Now, THIS PERSON is someone who I disagree with completely on another subject: A totally violent Doctor. How can one even watch Doctor Who with the viewpoint of violence and war and still enjoy it? Honestly, tell me how.
