About me
Where to start? Basically, I’m just a college kid trying to figure himself out.
I’m a Sociology major, which doesn’t mean I want to go into Social Work or become a counselor. Rather, it means that human beings intrigue me, and I want to base my career on bettering the lives of those who surround me. I want to understand what exactly makes you tick and what made you the way you are. My passion is understanding human behavior.
I’m a strong believer, and my Christian faith shapes my being. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask me! I’m not too shy when it comes to my beliefs so don’t hesitate to pick my brain. ;)
I have a mild obsession with quite a few things. Legend of Zelda, Doctor Who, LOST, Pokemon, Avatar, Supernatural, Sherlock, Mario, anything Nintendo-related, Community, Final Fantasy, Miyazaki, and comic book heroes are a few off the top of my head. I don’t usually like things lightly, either. I go head-first and swim in it’s very being. :)
I really, really love music. I could listen to just about every genre, but a few of my favorites are Indie, Rock, Progressive Metal, and Jazz. Some of my favorite bands are The Shins, The Wallflowers, Smashing Pumpkins, Damien Rice, Dream Theater, Spock’s Beard, Dierks Bentley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Dub FX, Lights, Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens, and Future of Forestry.
Not only do I listen to music, but I play it as well. ;) I play the Alto Sax, Djembe, and the Cajon. I also sing, but not very well. I only hope that one of these days when I sing as loud as I can in the car I actually sound pleasant.
